We recommend that visitors coming to the City of Tábor and planing to visit the historic city centre (The Old Town) use the Na Parkánech parking lot or the parking house Pod Střelnicí and then walk to the main town square, Žižka Square (200 m).

Tourist coaches can also stop in front of Bechyňská Gate on Na Parkánech Street. However, this is only to allow visitors to exit and board the bus and is not reserved for parking. Coaches can park in Kvapilova Street, on the parking lot in front of the swimming stadium, 500m from the historic city centre. Parking here is free of charge. A map with a route from the Bechyňská gate to the parking place in front of the swimming stadium can be found under this article here, interactive map is available at here or at Google maps here.

Several parking lots are available in the OldTown on Žižka Square, Mikuláš z Husi Square, in Palackého Street, František Křižík Square (nám. Fr. Křižíka) and on Tržní náměstí (at a special discount rate). Apart from these locations, parking is strictly prohibited in the OldTown zone, and owners risk having their vehicles towed or immobilised.

In the New Town you can park in Tř. 9. května, Vančurova, Erbenova, Kollárova, Dobrovského, Purkyňova, Chocholouškova, Smetanova, Bílkova, Jeronýmova, Šafaříkova streets or in the underground parking of the Dvořák department store. You can also use parking places in front of the railway station and in U Bechyňské dráhy Street (both at a special discount rate).
